| 2025-02-03 |  | | This app was amazing but the update is terrible. The old search settings were more general and now it's too specific. All I wanted was a place on the water ( any body of water) that allowed pets and had a hot tub, none of those search options are available and we have to decide what type of building, what type of water... very frustrating for someone who is open to many different possibilities. This went from 5 stars to 1 all because I did the update 😠and there isn't even a river front option |

I contacted Airbnb support and was told to stay on the line for a transfer and gave them my phone number in case of a disconnect I would be called back. The call disconnected and it took them 3 DAYS to contact me back. I missed their call and tried messaging and calling them back only to be told I needed to wait to have someone reach out again. The support is terrible, the prices are higher than hotels, and there's fake listings |

However some host inflate their cleaning fee on listing's that aren't even worth the price. Some of the places are very dirty and when communicating with Airbnb they take the side of the host majority of the times. Something needs to be implemented to verify the homes for cleanliness and the prices need to be evaluated according to what the property looks like and the location |

I've wondered about airbnbing my own house, but having undergone the pain of booking somewhere for a short trip, I dread to think how difficult listing a property would be! |

The first time the house was damaged by a hurricane and it still allowed me to book, I had to cancel and get refunded. The next two times it allowed me to book a second one said they only did 30-day minimums so I had to cancel that and the third one said they only did one week minimums and I had to cancel that. Meanwhile over the several weeks. Most the other options in the area have all been booked and now I'm in a bind. |

I liked searching for experiences through map view because it made it easy to see where these tours are located and sometimes I like to book my airbnbs depending on how much experiences are available. I tried using the desktop browser on my phone and still the map doesnt pop up for the airbnb experiences. |

Until then you're better off getting a stay from the conventional hotel/vacation market since even if they look more expensive upfront, you're actually getting truth in advertising rather than suckerpunched by a cleaning fee that doubles the price of your stay. |

Checked amenities become unchecked or incorrectly marked, causing misalignment between the overall listing and category-specific settings. This results in further inaccuracies and inconsistencies across listings. A fix to sync overall and category-specific settings would greatly improve accuracy and efficiency. |

Customer service is very responsive and seems to have the back of the customer, at least in my case, and works to ensure that you're taken care of, feel heard, and stay safe!! |
