This is a lightweight app with no ads. I can open, type in, save words in, and search for (.md only) files in it. There's no data stealing / hidden tracking I'm aware of. It's easy to use without internet access. My biggest difficulties with Writer Plus are how I can no longer find all the files when connected to a computer, and I sometimes get lost within my folders, looking in the wrong folder because it's difficult to see the organizational heirarchy. So, Markor is better for backups.

I've used this app for about seven years. I used to rate it a 4. But, now it's more like -4. It's a total nightmare. If you try to post text into one folder from another, it will disappear. Folders from other devices, written with the app, permits only reading permission. The cursor will often move to a different paragraph. I had that problem previously, but it wasn't as bad. I've never seen a spell-checker so useless.
