The hearts don't regenerate over time along with energy. If they did I would keep playing and buy diamonds now and then. I love the game but need that to keep playing.

Fun game until u run out of axe points then it will take literally half the day just to be able to play for 5 minutes before you run out of axe points then you gotta wait forever to play again not to fun unless you're willing to pay real money to get more stuff faster no I'm good.
