2025-01-05 | 4.5 Great ride/read at a good price. Text based(as in reading, not things you send) adventure where you get to make some choices. I recommend trying it out with your free tickets/choices, then just paying for the rest of the story/stories so it doesn't break up gameplay. Would have liked some action involvement(fighting, maps, inventory etc) but that isn't what theyre going for & immersive none the less. Will continue with the next..
2025-01-04 | I've played through all three stories, and it was fun. There are several problems with the stories that I'm surprised weren't caught by an editor/proofreader. The biggest one was in the third story (Heroes), where Number 48 is suddenly a true monster (in Antarctica) with no explanation. I also found Moti's ethical review of my choices incredibly reductivist; I always prioritized the mission, and Moti completely missed the point. So, for example, efficiently killing soldiers was selfish.
2023-09-30 | This game uses an ad-earnes ticket system for choices, most of which are placeholders and lead to the same outcomes. A few of the ones that feel like they matter are just frustrating, usually questionably written setbacks, the intention of course being to eat choice tickets. Couldn't tell you what choices actually do matter. The characters and premises are vaguely interesting, but don't get your hopes up on exploring that. The stories are slow and feature minimal development and no resolutions.
2023-06-13 | The ads are non-existent but so are the choices that matter. The game uses a ticket based system for when you have to make choices. When you run out you have to buy more or wait. The only issue is none of your choices really matter. The outcome rarely if ever changes despite what you pick. Thusnmaking the title of of the game a straight lie.
2023-02-21 | Great stories! The ads are optional and you can always wait for tickets. If I would have known how many tickets needed to get through a story I would have bought the pass to start with! Needing tickets helped me not rush through though I wish the other stories would have broken down how some of your choices mattered like the 1st did, that was a little disappointing Overall interesting concepts and fun game I just finished the 2nd run of the last story and can't wait to try the others again 😀
2022-12-29 | Enjoyable story so far, but choice tickets randomly disappear. After I spend several minutes watching ads to gain a dozen or so free tickets, back in the story I'll make only 2 or 3 choices (which it says are 1 ticket each) then suddenly it tells me I'm completely out. What?! Would rate 5 stars if not for this bug constantly wasting my time and stealing my fairly earned tickets back.
2022-11-23 | I've just finished "And The Sun Went Out" and... well, it was an experience! This was great, I just have two tiny quibbles: - The ads. Oy, the ads. (I know, if I buy a story pass, then I'll be done with the ads.) They're annoying and tend to break immersion at climactic moments. - There's the odd continuity mistake, such as (Sun Went Out spoiler) my character getting intro'd to Petrus twice, and later remembering his home ...that they hadn't actually been to. Otherwise? Highly rec this app.
2022-09-08 | downloaded this last night and its kept me awake two nights. Only just beginning arc 5 of "and the sun went out" and I've rarely been as captivated I think this story is *incredible*. I can't wait to go back and try again and see what happens to the story. I wept. My ending was perfect. I cannot thank you enough for this experience and the absolutely monumental effort it must have taken to create.
2022-01-14 | Absolutely LOVE this game! I grew up on the Choose Your Own Adventures books and this is so much like it, but longer and more novel-like, which I was highly impressed with. Kept me interested the whole way through and still trying to figure out how they could map out such a complex story and not lose their minds while allowing for so many different possibilities! Well done over there! Excited to finish the second and third story, but the Sun disappearing story is my favorite for sure. Go, Moti!
2021-10-21 | Unlike other choice based games I've played, this one isn't pay to play. You can truly play it for free if you are willing to watch ads, and the ads aren't super annoying. You can also buy each story for $5.49 to play completely through without ads. There are 3 stories, so it'd cost around $16.50 for the whole game, which isn't half bad. About the same for indie games on Steam for PC. Plus the stories are intriguing. I'm very happy with this app. |
