MapSwipe

MapSwipe is a mobile app designed to enhance humanitarian response by utilizing crowd-sourced satellite image analysis. Developed in partnership with the Missing Maps project, the app allows users to swipe through satellite imagery of crisis-prone regions, identifying crucial features such as villages, roads, and rivers.

This crowdsourced data supports mappers in creating detailed maps faster, enabling organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to locate vulnerable populations swiftly. By participating in MapSwipe, users directly aid medical and relief workers in reaching communities that need urgent help, streamlining humanitarian efforts worldwide—all from the comfort of their own phone.
