Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven is praised for its immersive storytelling, detailed customization, and replayability, appealing strongly to zombie and choose-your-own-adventure fans. However, players note frustrations with short game length, multiple paywalls for additional parts, lack of saving functionality, occasional bugs, and pacing issues including forced romance scenes and limited choice variation. Overall, it is viewed as a high-quality game with room to improve on content delivery and technical polish.
Pros
- Extremely immersive and well-written storytelling with deep apocalyptic and zombie survival themes.
- High replay value due to numerous choices and branching storylines.
- Detailed character customization and stats system adds depth to gameplay.
- The game offers suspense and engagement comparable to graphics-based games through descriptive language.
- Regular updates and care from developers with minimal bugs and errors.
Cons
- Multiple paywalls requiring additional purchases for parts which frustrate some players.
- Game length is considered short; many desire more content and longer chapters.
- Lack of a save or quick-save feature, causing frustration when restarting after failures.
- Occasional bugs such as achievements not unlocking and character deaths not registering properly.
- Story pacing issues including forced romance scenes and some linearity with false choice routes.

I love this game SO much, I've been playing and replaying it for years now. My only problems are that I've had a character get up to like 60 kills but I can never get the Zombie Killer trophies after 20 kills, & I've also noticed that there are several character deaths that will bug out and not register, which tends to make the actual storytelling part of the game get jumbled/buggy afterwards (like Jude dying at the grocery store but being at the museum still). Otherwise still a really fun game!

Spent so many hours in this game, can't wait for part 4 so far my setup is pretty awesome, but I do hope the 'Haven' will be more of a choosable location eventually. Like if we got a choice between a few major locations. Either way, I played for 7 hours the other day and it was only between when the house burned and the junkyard. I need more, I would buy like 100 parts to this if there were that many, keep it up!!!
