Review summary

RPG Dragon Sinker is praised for its nostalgic retro RPG style, engaging storyline, and flexible job system that offers strategic depth. Players enjoy the balanced turn-based combat and the ease of managing parties and equipment. However, common criticisms include repetitive and irritating background music, unbalanced difficulty settings, intrusive advertisements with purchase issues, occasional bugs that hinder progress, and a lack of clear tutorials that cause confusion. Overall, it appeals to fans of classic JRPGs looking for a fun, strategic game despite some flaws.
Pros
  • Classic retro JRPG feel with pixelated 8-bit graphics and nostalgic music.
  • Engaging and interesting story with good character development and humor.
  • Flexible and fun job/class system allowing strategic party building and skill combinations.
  • Balanced and enjoyable turn-based combat with adjustable difficulty levels.
  • Convenient party and equipment management, reducing grind and micromanagement.
Cons
  • Repetitive background music can be annoying due to limited variety and high-pitched melody.
  • Difficulty settings are unbalanced; easy is too easy and hard can be too challenging without room for adjustment.
  • Ads are intrusive, appearing frequently when saving or after reviewing, and microtransactions have issues such as unsuccessful ad removal purchases.
  • Some users experience game bugs such as freezing or error messages preventing gameplay.
  • Lack of sufficient in-game documentation or tutorials, making game mechanics and boss fights confusing for some players.

This game is awesome! It has a classic feel to it and it really let's you get to know the characters. Also the storyline is classic as well especially if you like dragons.

Developer makes it interesting with the story line and job classes, its nice to see the change when switching classes. There are tidbits of secrets on how to play in every town NPCs. Keep up on this.

Great game thus far, but the main background music is the same high-pitched melody over and over. I have to turn the volume down. It's annoying. I can play fights in auto and automatically restore my party HP after each fight, which is nice. Typical RPG, albeit old school 8-bit low-res pixel retro graphics. ****Update. One star. Stuck indefinitely. Uninstall. Too many of these games are either too repetitive or they get unreasonable. Kemco will never supply support either, which is ridiculous!

Good game, this game makes you curious about what skills you will get after you advance a job, in terms of the story it might be quite ordinary... But there's something that's not good, it's the difficulty, easy difficulty is too easy and hard is too hard, you can't win a fight without one of your party members passing out..

The turn based combat is really fun and well balanced. It never felt impossible or too easy. I'm playing on Expert. I'm enjoying figuring out how which combination of jobs and skills work best on each team. Not having to manage ever single characters' equipment is a relief, too. The music and sounds and graphics are okay, pretty standard for 8 bit. The story is a nice mix of a generic fantasy RPG storyline with some snappy, fun dialogue snuck in. I recommend to anyone craving a retro JRPG!

This 1 star rating is all due because when I try and play the game, an error message pops up saying "Transmission failed. Please check your network connection and try again." and forces me to close the game when I've good internet. I would gladly change my review if I could get some help or can eventually play the game.

My experience with this game is I'm glad to be back really I played when it first came out had some bugs and things but it's better now finished it to back then then I lost my phone and now with a new one about 5-6 years later I'm able to play it once again so for new people it's fun a little repetitive buts that's all rog games for you but it's sense of story telling is impressive and still as good as it was then hope anyone who plays enjoys.

This game was pretty good, I definitely recommend this game. Although, it can be complex and I feel like I was playing the game wrong the entire time (and it didn't help that there is almost no documentation on this game). I had a hard time defeating some of the boss and felt like I didn't understand some of the game mechanics, but I was still able to beat the game. Also, if your concerned about internet usage, the game can be played entirely without an internet connection. As a result of this I did circumvent the ad system, so I will be making up for that by purchasing the premium version when I have the money.

Hahahahaa, there is almost no way this is not a 5 star RPG. I'm probably showing my age but somehow the battle system reminds me the most of FF2. Oddly, the MP cost of magic goes up as characters lvl up, but by the same token it fits gameplay. Very cool game, I'll have my eye on KEMCO for more like it : )

The simplicity of the progression of the story is intriguing. I especially like its pixelated animation. The jobs, the side quests, too. Love the game, you can choose the difficulty level you prefer. I was looking for an easy game that'll easily progress and will overall amuse me so the easy mode was my second choice. Great game, really love the side quests.
