User reviews
Dino Quest 2 is a fun dinosaur-themed idle digging game with good graphics, music, and customization options that appeals to dinosaur fans. However, multiple users report frequent bugs affecting progress, frustrating ad implementations, a problematic currency system, and camera control issues that hinder gameplay. The game can be repetitive due to limited upgrades and slow progression. Removing intrusive ads and fixing persistent glitches would greatly improve the user experience.
Pros
- Fun and satisfying dinosaur digging gameplay enjoyed by dinosaur enthusiasts.
- Enjoyable idle game mechanics with features like fossil posing and skin customization.
- Good graphics and music contributing to a pleasant gaming experience.
- Ad-free version provides a better gameplay experience.
- Designing and expanding the museum is fun and adds depth.
Cons
- Frequent bugs and glitches including lab infinite loops, disappearing crates, and cracked hitboxes impede gameplay.
- Progression and rewards are slow and sometimes frustrating due to currency imbalance and long wait times for crates.
- Ads are intrusive, often buggy, and sometimes fail to grant promised rewards, diminishing game enjoyment.
- Camera angle and controls make fossil excavation difficult; lack of camera movement or top-down view frustrate players.
- Lack of upgrade systems for tools, digging credits, and energy causes the game to feel repetitive and grind-heavy.

This is a great game! Definitely worth the add free version. However it does have a few flaws. The money system is a bit busted where the coins are way too easy to get while the secondary token currency moves too slowly. I'll have about 2 million in coins while I'll lave 200 tokens with the only thing that you buy with coins is expeditions which cost a thousand or two and then everything you buy with the tokens can be up to 3000 for expansions of the museum so the currency is a bit broken.

Overall, the game is fun for dinosaur enthusiasts, but it does get extremely repetitive over time. The more you progress, the more you have to wait to open boxes depending on the dig site and fossil found. You will also notice that the amout of times you can dig at a given one session is only 50, which is nowhere near enough needed, until a notice pops up to get more digging credits by either gems or watching an ad. It is bad enough that a ton of ads pop up. Now, it limits digging to see ads...
