2025-01-30	Anuj Sharma	I have been using this app for many years but recently started facing an issue related to time zone for the messages that are restored and the sim is also interchanged in many cases. The timing of the messages are almost changed by 12 hrs which can be seen after the backup. Please provide the necessary solutions.
2024-12-25	Chris Fiberoptics	Verizon getting rid of Messages + recommended switching to Google Messages. I was in the process of switching my number to a new phone. When I got the sim installed into the new phone everything transferred fine except for my Messages from the old phone. I couldn't get any help from Verizon ot Google but this app took care of the problem. You will need to answer several prompts so take your time and just backup the things you need to. It will take quite awhile to backup then restore on new phone
2024-12-24	Derrick B	I've been using this product for many years now without fail to backup my calls and text messages to both my Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. However, I may need to consider finding an alternate product, one that is as minimalist, yet robust as SMS Backup & Restore. Why? Google reports that the developer is unverified. Considering the permission structure they have over my account, I want to ensure the developer has been properly vetted and cleared by Google as legitimate and responsible.
2024-12-19	FireController1847 ‏‏	I've used this app for quite a few years now as I've swapped phones, and it's worked fantastic every single time. It does what it says on the tin, and it does it well. I've recommended this app to both my family and friends and they have also loved how simply it works. Definitely deserves a 5 star review because of how reliable it is and how well-made the app is designed. If you're swapping devices, you won't be disappointed with this choice.
2024-12-12	Kimber Black	I have had this app a handful of years and it has never let me down. The only trouble I ever have is trying to read the saved text messages after transferring them to my computer. It ends up all jumbled and very hard to read, but I think it's some sort of file type issue that's fixable. Because of that issue I did check out a couple other SMS backup apps, but they wanted fees, very un-user friendly apps without having the ability to backup to a external USB storage. I'm not doing that again.
2024-12-03	Mike Salkin	I've been using this app for about 3 years and it seemed to work fine until pl6 months ago when out of the blue it would do an automatic backup that was not scheduled. It's supposed to back up once per week early morning when the phone is plugged in. There is no indication on the schedule for the rogue backup. Sent in a trouble ticket to support along with my logs and no response. Sent them a reminder, no response. The app may be good, but support is lacking. May have to uninstall.
2024-11-04	Benji Vuong	I pretty much never write reviews but this app works -- and it's free. There's not a horrendous amount of ad either. I accidentally deleted an entire text thread and was desperate to restore it. Thankfully I had a backup of my data on Google Drive and an old used phone I could do a factory reset on to prompt a restore mode to retrieve my messages that way. I used this app to backup the data into the XML file onto Google Drive and then restore it back on my main phone. Worked like a charm. 🙏🏼
2024-10-23	Angie M	It had trouble starting the backup to Google drive. Once I figured that out, it showed I had 12G of data to backup. It want to break it up into 2G. Ok. It took hours. It ate up 200G storage on G-drive with 46 2G files when I finally stopped it. Will be deleting all of this nonsense. I was looking for an app that would just save photos and videos from messages.
2024-09-28	Anudeep N	I installed this app as a last resort for transferring my text messages from my old Android device to my new Android device. This app transferred all of my texts without any issues and glitches!! I had problems with Samsung's built-in backup and restore feature with transferring texts (would get duplicate threads and issues with RCS threads), and this app transferred all the chats smoothly without any glitches unlike the Samsung Smart Switch's built in device migration.
2024-08-30	A.S. Minor	I got a new Google Pixel 8 (replacing a broken one), but the messages and call log didn't transfer over. I tried using Google Drive, as well as 4 other backup apps. None of them worked. I came here and saw a positive review about this being the only app that worked for the person, so I decided to give it a shot. Worked PERFECTLY. I'm extremely satisfied.
