User reviews
Users appreciate Spotilicious for its filtering capabilities and user-friendly interface but face significant issues with syncing Spotify data, especially with large music libraries. The app occasionally crashes and lacks features like true randomness in shuffle and more comprehensive filtering options. Additionally, unclear pricing and paywalls after installation frustrate some users. Despite these issues, those who manage to use the app find it helpful for organizing their Spotify playlists according to genres and other filters.
Pros
- When it works, the app allows effective filtering and playlist creation from Spotify liked songs and playlists.
- The app has a good user interface that is attractive and easy to use.
- Provides useful filtering options such as genre and categories.
- Support and responsiveness from developers have been noted positively by some users.
Cons
- Syncing with Spotify frequently fails or gets stuck, especially for users with large liked song libraries.
- The app crashes or fails to link Spotify accounts for some users.
- Limited filtering options, for example, BPM filter issues and lack of sorting features like sorting playlists alphabetically or by release date.
- Free app lacks transparency about pricing, with some users unhappy about paywalls after download.
- The shuffle functionality is not truly random but influenced by Spotify's algorithm.

I've tried to install and run this app multiple times with months between attempts, and it never works for me. I think my liked song list is too big (80,000+) and it keeps freezing during the attempt to sync. I've left it plugged in and within 15 feet of my router for hours and the progress bar never moves. It's sad because I really want to use this app and would gladly pay the fee for unlimited syncs because I constantly add more stuff, but ... It won't sync. I'll keep trying every few months.

NO PRICE DISPLAYED IN THE DESCRIPTION > the usual marketing trick : you download a "free" app but it turns out to be limited somehow if you don't pay. Dishonest and unfair practice - Could be a decent app without the marketing trick (and a "sort by release date" criteria).
