User reviews
Users appreciate the app's core features like credit monitoring, notifications about new account activity, and the value it provides. However, many face significant issues logging in, problems with biometric authentication, and missing functionalities present in the website version. Error codes during login and two-factor authentication difficulties are common. The app interface is criticized for being limited and sometimes non-responsive, leading users to prefer the website over the app. Overall, while the service is valued, the app's reliability and usability challenges detract from the user experience.
Pros
- Provides useful features like credit score monitoring, credit card usage checks, and ability to lock TransUnion credit.
- Sends notifications for new account activity, helping users stay informed about potential identity threats.
- Offers a similar functionality to the website, allowing access to important identity protection features on mobile.
- Affordable service with a good value for peace of mind, as mentioned by some users.
- Compatible with some biometric login methods, although issues exist.
Cons
- App often fails to log in, with errors such as spinning loading icons, forbidden errors, or incorrect code recognition during two-factor authentication.
- Biometric login features are frequently broken or unreliable, requiring constant password resets or reverting to website login.
- App interface is limited and lacks full functionality compared to the website, missing settings and additional information such as detailed notifications about new accounts.
- Repeated requirement to input two-factor authentication codes and lack of remembering trusted devices creates inconvenience.
- Frequent bugs and stability issues leading to user frustration and lack of confidence in the app's reliability.

I used to be able to login to the app but now I can only login through the website. When I try the app all it does is spin once I put in my username and password. It didn't even send me a code to put in. Please fix this issue.
