User reviews
Users appreciate the app's good customer support, easy navigation, and helpful charging reminders, especially for home charging units. However, multiple reviews highlight significant problems such as inaccurate availability status of chargers, frequent connection issues, UI glitches, and slow or unreliable notifications. The map interface can be confusing with poor zoom behavior and incorrect station info. Additionally, important filtering features are missing, reducing usability. These pros and cons are commonly mentioned across user feedback, pointing to a need for app refinements to improve reliability and user experience.
Pros
- Good customer support that helps resolve issues promptly.
- Easy to navigate interface that helps find charging stations and manage home charger.
- Helpful features like reminders to plug in and optimizing charging times based on energy plan.
- Accurate information about station locations in many cases.
- Home charging units have good quality and reliable performance when working properly.
Cons
- App often shows chargers as available when they are actually occupied or inaccessible.
- Frequent connectivity and communication issues with home chargers and stations, requiring multiple restarts or power cycles.
- Map and UI issues including incorrect station locations, clunky zooming, and disappearing or malfunctioning buttons and widgets.
- Notifications and updates about charging status are delayed or unreliable.
- Lack of filtering options for charger activation methods and pricing, making it harder to find suitable stations.

Downgrading to 2 stars because the HomeFlex charger experience in the app is inconsistent. Often when I initiate a charge at home, one screen of the app will say it's charging but the other screen that shows the KW charge rate over time will say it's not charging. I've learned the quirks but it's really annoying when there is contradictory information being displayed. And it also takes a very long time for the app to update to reflect real-time data sometimes. Other times it's very fast.

Can't connect to the server at all when I'm on a VPN. So the only way I could reliably just open it and have it work is if I was willing to compromise my security for this one app. I'm not. Every other app I have works fine, it's just this one. Oh, but when I do drop the VPN long enough to use it, it's slow, unreliable, and frequently directs me to occupied or out of service chargers. At least when I use the NFC the charge will start but that's about all it's got going for it.
