The AT&T Smart Home Manager app is designed exclusively for AT&T Internet customers to personalize and manage their home Wi-Fi networks seamlessly. Through a simple self-setup and an intuitive interface, users can customize Wi-Fi names and passwords, monitor connected devices, and assign personalized names to each device for easy identification.

Beyond basic management, the app allows families to create profiles, set parental controls, schedule downtime to manage screen time, and pause Wi-Fi access for individual devices. Users can also run Internet speed tests, identify weak signal areas in their homes, and receive real-time notifications about network health, service outages, or issues. The app further supports technician-free troubleshooting and lets you remotely restart your Wi-Fi gateway. Note that this app is compatible with select AT&T Wi-Fi Gateway models and is limited to home networks.

This used to be a semi helpful app, I could pause and or block devices. Now it no longer allows me to even though it still shows the features. The home screen is aggravating as it's always asking about the settings. What is the point of the app anymore? I can't restart my router all by myself. The VERY FEW features it did have don't work anymore. And why is it blocking websites I didn't ask or to?

Profiles do not work. It is possible to pause Wi-Fi on an individual device. But if I create a Profile and add the device(s) then content filters, time limits, and pausing Wi-Fi for the Profile does not work at all. Why can't ATT just open up their gateway like any other router and allow us to add parental controls there instead of having an app plus subscription that does not work?
