Great news outlet, inconsistent app. Ads are especially problematic. When you try to skip, silence, or pause ads, the overlay doesn't work properly, and the ad continues playing. Further, ads are often three times as loud as they content they precede. Even trying to read articles without watching content has become unduly troublesome because of it. Reinstalling the app doesn't fix it. Clearing the cache doesn't fix it. Five stars when it's fixed.

Ruby Mae Morgan, 2025-01-19In general I like this app as a news source. I don't have to make an account to read the news for "free" like I do in other apps. Videos in this app are hosted through YouTube but an invisible layer prevents you from skipping ads, so it forces you to sit through the entire ad even though a 'Skip Ad' button provided by YouTube is floating there. You get 3 stars for crippling functionality that exists in software packages that you use.
