User reviews
Zombero: Archero Doom Shooter offers an engaging Archero-like experience with a darker theme and mostly optional rewarded ads. Players appreciate its fun gameplay, variety of characters, and decent content volume. However, difficulty spikes early on, forced or disruptive ads, randomness in upgrades and enemy patterns, and tedious grinding detract from enjoyment. Additional issues include connectivity bugs, lost progress on reinstall, and UI pitfalls causing accidental purchases. Overall, the game has potential but requires improvements in fairness, ad implementation, and stability to enhance player satisfaction.
Pros
- Engaging and fun gameplay reminiscent of Archero with a modern/darker twist.
- Ads are mostly optional and rewarded, making them bearable compared to intrusive advertising in other games.
- Variety of characters and equipment to unlock, offering different builds and gameplay styles.
- Good content volume and grinding can be rewarding if managed well.
- Free to play with decent progression potential without mandatory spending.
Cons
- Significant difficulty spikes early in the game making progression frustrating and challenging without paying or extensive grinding.
- Forced or excessive ads, sometimes unskippable, causing game interruptions or crashes, especially when ads redirect to the Play Store unexpectedly.
- Randomness in upgrades, loot, and enemy attack patterns undermining the strategic ‘bullet hell’ experience.
- Grinding and resource accumulation are tedious; upgrading equipment feels like a long, sometimes unfair process due to insufficient rewards.
- Game bugs related to connectivity, saving progress, and UI issues leading to lost data and poor user experience.

Was a decent game. I played a lot, earning a bunch of the areas and items and had all the characters you didn't have to pay for. I didn't even mind the ads as they weren't even that intrusive. One day, it wouldn't load, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, and all of my process was lost and wouldn't load. Now I'm back at square one with no way to contact the creators or get my data back, so starting over again would be a time sink.

Latest update broke it. Can't connect to server. 1 star until they fix it. The level gating is maybe a bit excessive, but overall this is one of the better mobile games I've seen in a long time. No autoplaying ads, no pop-ups constantly pushing you to pay too much for gambling crates. Watching ads is only optional. 1 star docked for the level gating, and another for the "energy to play" mechanic.
