Players generally enjoy the initial gameplay, graphics, and shooting mechanics of Zombie Apocalypse: Doomsday-Z, appreciating its arcade style and offline capability. However, a persistent resource glitch—specifically the inability to obtain enough steel beams—halts game progression, leaving many stuck after the second or third level. Salvage missions don't reward the needed steel, and excessive ads further irritate users. Despite spending money, players feel the game is incomplete and poorly supported, with prolonged delays in fixes and no recovery of lost progress. This severely harms long-term engagement and satisfaction.
Pros
- Smooth arcade-style gameplay that is engaging and fun initially.
- Good graphics and decent storyline with alternating campaign and air raid missions.
- Ability to buy and upgrade weapons without necessarily using real money.
- Offline play works well, allowing uninterrupted gameplay without ads.
- The shooter mechanics are satisfying and intense, providing a gratifying experience.
Cons
- A critical resource glitch prevents progression; specifically missing 4 steel beams to build the base causing players to be stuck.
- Salvage missions do not provide the required steel beams to advance, despite repeated attempts.
- Gameplay is interrupted by excessive and sometimes unskippable ads, leading to frustration.
- Game updates or bug fixes addressing the resource glitch have been delayed or unavailable for months, impacting player experience.
- Lost progress and in-app purchases after reinstalling the game with no recovery option.

Its a fun game while it lasts but don't bother spending any money. It's set up to give the appearance that you will be able to get through multiple levels and need bigger guns, more gold, more money etc but the game is apparently not developed past the 2nd level. It will require you to collect materials to build a safehouse at the end of level 2 but no matter what you do it's impossible to obtain the final materials. It's fun for a few days until you complete all the mini missions

I had it at 5 stars because everything about it was amazing, UNTIL I got to the second section to build the fortress- no matter how many missions I did I could not unlock the rest of the steal materials for the fort. I've wasted the last three or four bus trips I've rode trying to get the remaining materials, but I think it is rigged to get a "VIP" pass to get the rest of the materials. All and all, a great game for maybe a week. Developers need to change the material collecting feature.
