I switched to the official Australian BOM app for local weather in Australia. But other such weather apps might be useful if overseas where other sorts of weather alerts eg pollution, earthquakes etc are needed.

Helpful and fairly accurate app but always running in the background, uses your battery and also too many messages now, prefer to get info upon request, it's constantly on my phone and can only stop this by force stop which has to be done every day and every time I check the forecast, Was much better before last update !
